| About the Nondual Approach | I studied Eastern philosophy, which of course included non-duality, for nearly 24 years without realising I had only developed a highly refined conceptual understanding of non-duality. A profound shift occurred relatively recently, where the teachings became experiential, revealing clear seeing and basic sanity. My experience, my training (spiritual and academic) have shaped my approach, which is to prepare the Western mind for non-dual awareness, minds that without adequate preparation, risk psychological harm. Historically, depending on the tradition there was initiation preparing the practitioner for powerful practices with proper adhikāra (qualification/fitness). No, or very little systems exist in a Western context. |
